In other words , rebellion , waging war against the State , insurrection etc . दूसरे शब्दों में , विद्रोह , राज्य के विरुद्ध युद्ध छेड़ना , बगावत आदि से राज्य की सुरक्षा को खतरा होने की बहुत संभावना हो सकती है .

No one coming fresh to this sentence has any idea of its implications. 11 सितंबर की घटना के पश्चात् के सप्ताहों में कुरान की बिक्री पाँच गुना अधिक बढ़ गई. अमेरिका के सबसे बड़े प्रकाशक ने बताया कि उसे इस माँग की आपूर्ति के लिए ब्रिटेन से कुरान की प्रतियाँ मंगवानी पड़ीं. अमेरिका के पुस्तक विक्रेताओं ने बताया कि वे बाईबिल से ज्यादा कुरान की प्रतियाँ बेच रहे हैं.प्रसंगवश यह सब इस्लामवादियों को सुनने में अच्छा लग रहा है. आतंकवादियों को आर्थिक सहायता देने वाले गुट के साथ संबद्ध बोस्टन की इस्लामिक सोसाईटी के होसाम गाबरी के अनुसार गैर - मुसलमानों द्वारा कुरान को समझने का प्रयास एक शुभ संकेत है . परंतु वर्तमान विश्व में घट रही घटनाओं को समझने के लिए सरसरी तौर पर कुरान का अध्ययन करना उचित मार्ग नहीं है . ऐसा इसलिए है क्योंकि कुरान की अपनी कुछ विशेषतायें हैं - व्यापकता- यह संभव नहीं है कि कोई भी व्यक्ति कुरान उठाए और एक बार में समझ ले . क्योंकि इसके प्रत्येक शब्द के साथ विश्लेषण , अनुवाद और उसका भी अनुवाद जुड़ा है . ऐसे किसी भी दस्तावेज़ के अध्ययन के लिए आवश्यक है कि उसके संदर्भों का गहन अध्ययन हो . उसके विकास और उसकी विरोधी व्याख्या की पूरी जानकारी हो . इसकी तुलना अमेरिकी संविधान से कर सकते हैं . इसके दूसरे संशोधन में 27 शब्द हैं ( एक नियमित सेना,एक स्वतंत्र राज्य की सुरक्षा के लिए आवश्यक है .नागरिकों के अस्त्र रखने या उन्हें धारण करने के अधिकार को सीमित नहीं किया जाना चाहिए .)इस वाक्य के निहितार्थ को समझने के लिए गहरे अध्ययन की आवश्यकता होगी और कोई भी नया व्यक्ति इसके संबंध में कोई भी विचार नहीं बना सकता .
